Founded in 2017, Art Impact provides services which focus on the artistic design
of constructed environments and the sensorial enhancement of space through
visual and performance art as an integrated whole.
Art Impact is directed by Kirsi Pitkänen, who has extensive experience in both
the production of the visual arts and the coordination of artistic proposals for
construction projects.
Since 2015, she has been responsible for the general artistic design and art
coordination in the Jyväskylä Kangas Neighbourhood construction project. Her
experience in consultation ranges from private art acquisitions to school and
landscape construction projects, among others.
Pitkänen is experienced in both performative arts and the visualisation of public spaces. Since
2004, she has presented her own performances worldwide, and in 2010 she represented Finland
with her ”Bubble” piece at the Shanghai World Exposition. In 2015, Pitkänen created a 1,800m2
installation for the investor area at the international SLUSH event. Her most recent work ”Meeting
point” was a three-story high installation for the 25th Mänttä Art Festival in 2018.
Pitkänen was the Regional artist (Artist Representative) for Central Finland from 2014 to 2016.
She has worked as an art consultant for construction projects since 2015.
